Thanks to the reader who provided the link (above) to this book about ALC history. Anyone willing to read it and post a review?

  1. Wow, I didn't read your post carefully befort clicking on the link. I clicked on the photos of services and thought, this must be MY group (llc, laestadian lutheran congregation - formerly aalc).
Because the faces in the photos looked familiar, my group met for Summer Services around this time, and Summer Services are held in Schools, like this one appears to be. But I realized that the minister names weren't familiar, and the areas where people were from (New York Mills, for example - weren't where my group came from.

How odd to look at these people, because they look so much like my group (I'm sure they are all cousins!).

I'd be interested in reading this book to get "the other sides" perspective.

  2. Exmplsllc ~ Your comments made me smile. Not too long ago I came across the LLC website, and had the exact same thoughts while looking at pictures on there. I attend the ALC church.
