Two Hands

I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Happy Easter, happy spring!

"With My Own Two Hands"
by Ben Harper

I can change the world
With my own two hands
Make a better place
With my own two hands
Make a kinder place
With my own two hands
With my own
With my own two hands
I can make peace on earth
With my own two hands
I can clean up the earth
With my own two hands
I can reach out to you
With my own two hands
With my own
With my own two hands

Im gonna make it a brighter place
Im gonna make it a safer place
Im gonna help the human race
With my own
With my own two hands

I can hold you
With my own two hands
I can comfort you
With my own two hands
But you got to use
Use your own two hands
Use your own
Use your own two hands

With our own
With our own two hands
With my own
With my own two hands

  3. I just discovered a most unusual item for sale on eBay, while doing a search for Laestadius or "Apostolic Lutheran". (sometimes I buy things to collect). Here is the site that came up with a search for Apostolic Lutheran: http://cgi.ebay.com/1-Quart-Note-from-EXCELSIOR-Quite-Rare-LOOK-Buy-It-Now_W0QQitemZ350043077778QQihZ022QQcategoryZ3440QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

sorry it's so long. It talks about a place called Excelsior at the southern tip of South America which was settled by Quakers and Apostolic Lutherans. I don't know if this is a real place or a fantasy place, as the seller collects mostly fantasy issues of coins and bank notes. Is this a real place??

  4. norah, I'm pretty sure it's fantasy, but it's creative fantasy:) It's even found in a Sports Illustrated article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/the_limey/01/12/news.notes/index.html

Another interesting tidbit is the Finland Center: http://www.finlandcenter.org/description.html

I'll have to go check it out.

  5. Ilmarinen, I think you are right. Strange thing is that several years ago I seem to remember some of the preachers saying that a man who owned a radio station in Texas was very interested in the ALC. I think his 'radio station' is actually ham radio, and he has a lot of time on his hands lol. I love the story, but it's got to be fantasy.. and based on his 'research' conducted on unsuspecting ALCers :-). I should really write to him. Too bad the 'note' he is selling is so expensive, I might buy it just for kicks!
